Refund & Cancellation Policy
The short version. Cancel Plus anytime from your billing portal — no phone calls, no hoops — and keep access through the period you paid for. The one-time Family Pack has a 30-day refund window. Consumed AI credits are not refundable; unused packs can be. If we ever charge you in error, we fix it.

1. Oikos Plus (subscription)
Oikos Plus renews automatically — monthly or annually, whichever you chose — until you cancel. You are always in control:
- Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you already paid for — you keep Plus features until then, and you are not charged again.
- Cancellation is as easy as signing up. It is self-serve in the billing portal; we never require a phone call, chat with a retention agent, or a written letter.
- No prorated refunds for the unused remainder of a billing period, except where consumer-protection law where you live requires one (those rights are never limited by this policy).
- Annual plans: before each annual renewal we send a reminder email to the account owner, so a yearly charge never surprises you.
- Billing errors: if you believe a charge was made in error (for example, after you canceled), contact [email protected] within 30 days of the charge and we will investigate and make it right, including a refund where we got it wrong.
Price changes. If the price of Plus changes, the new price applies only from your next renewal, and we will notify you before a renewal at a higher price so you can cancel first.
2. Family Pack (one-time purchase)
The Family Pack is a one-time fee — it never renews and never charges you again. It unlocks connecting with other families, groups, and your church for the family account that bought it.
- 30-day refund window. If the Family Pack isn't right for your household, request a full refund within 30 days of purchase — no questions asked. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- After 30 days, Family Pack purchases are final, except where required by law or where we determine a refund is warranted (for example, a billing mistake or a feature that never worked for you despite our support).
- When a Family Pack purchase is refunded, the connected-family features it unlocked are removed from the account; your family's data itself is never touched by a refund.
3. AI credit packs
- Plus includes a monthly AI allowance. Additional credit packs are optional one-time purchases.
- Consumed credits are non-refundable — once an AI action has run, that credit has been spent with our AI provider.
- Fully unused packs are refundable within 30 days of purchase. Partially used packs may be refunded pro-rata at our discretion.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash (except where the law requires).
4. How to cancel or request a refund
Cancel Plus (self-serve, ~1 minute)
- Open Oikos Connect and go to Settings → Subscription & Billing.
- Tap Manage billing — this opens your secure billing portal (powered by Stripe).
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm. You'll get a confirmation email immediately, and you keep Plus until the end of the paid period.
Request a refund
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Refund request" from the email on your account, or use Settings → Help → Contact support in the app.
- Tell us which purchase (Plus charge, Family Pack, or credit pack) and, if it isn't a 30-day no-questions case, a sentence about what went wrong helps us fix the product.
- We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
5. Purchases made through app stores
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (rather than our website), the purchase is managed by that store: cancel in your device's subscription settings, and refund requests follow Apple's or Google's process. We'll always help you find the right path — just ask.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable refund, cooling-off, or consumer-protection rights you have under the law where you live (for example, the 14-day withdrawal right in the EU/UK for distance purchases). Where local law gives you more than this policy does, local law wins.
